FAQ

Who are you?
My name is Steve Thomas. I am the architect of Madman. If you want to learn more about me, check out this interview by my friends at The Jalepeño.

Who is Tom Stevens?
He is a recurring character in my fiction and the protagonist of my first novel. Conceptually, he is similar to Hemingway’s Nick Adams.

Where can I read your novel?
Chill. It hasn’t been published yet.

What is Dear Der?
From May 2013 to January 2014, while working on the first draft of my first novel, I kept a journal, which unintentionally became an integral part of my writing process. To help me focus, I wrote each entry as an email to my friend, alexanDer Williams. Although there are over 200 emails, many are repetitive and rambling. Over the next several months, I will publish the 33 of the bunch worth reading. For more information, I recommend the first entry, “Dear Der #1: Morning Calisthenics.”

What is Tom’s Emo Musings?
There’s no way around it. Tom Stevens used to be an emo kid. Luckily, he saved his journals from high school because, speaking as an objective observer, some of his old writing is really pretty good.

How do I get in touch with you?
You can reach me by email at TheMintheM@gmail.com, or on Twitter @steven_a_thomas, or on Instagram @steven_a_thomas.
